Dental implants

This is the most advanced, most reliable and most durable modern technology for restoring lost teeth. Thanks to it, lost teeth are restored without damaging the neighbouring healthy teeth, preserving the bone tissue and the gums, and achieving an exceptionally natural aesthetic appearance.

Consultation and treatment planning

During the consultation the condition of the teeth and mouth is assessed, the necessary examinations are carried out, the implantation method is selected and a precise treatment plan is drawn up.

Anaesthesia

Local anaesthesia is usually used during the procedure, but at the patient’s request or for longer procedures intravenous anaesthesia (sedation) may be used.

Implantation

An implant – a substitute for the natural tooth root – is placed into the jawbone.

Temporary prosthetics

A temporary tooth is fixed on the placed implant.

Prosthetics

Once the implant has successfully fused with the bone and settled in the jaw (this takes about 4–6 months), the temporary tooth is replaced with a permanent one.

Restoration on implants – when one tooth is missing

An implant is placed in the site of the lost tooth and a crown is fixed on it immediately or once it has healed. When a tooth is restored with an implant, the neighbouring teeth are protected – they do not need to be ground down as they do for a dental bridge.

3–4 adjacent teeth can be restored with just 2 implants and a bridge of crowns. Each tooth can also be restored with a separate implant. In every case the dentist will assess your situation and suggest the most suitable solution.

Restoration on implants – when most or all teeth are missing

All the teeth of one jaw are restored by placing 4, 6 or 8 implants and fixing a prosthesis on them. How many implants will be placed is decided during the consultation, after assessing the condition of the patient’s mouth and jawbone and the patient’s expectations.
